The Complex Medical Nutrition Therapy Programme is designed for conditions that require extensive medical documentation, detailed nutritional calculations, co-ordination with complex medication regimens, close monitoring and collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
This level of support may be required for
- type 1 diabetes and insulin therapy, including education on carbohydrate intake as part of nutrition counselling
- drug-resistant epilepsy where a ketogenic diet has been indicated by a paediatric neurologist or neurologist
- advanced chronic kidney disease and care following kidney transplantation
- multiple concurrent diagnoses requiring carefully co-ordinated dietary restrictions
- significant gastrointestinal disorders and recovery following major surgery on the digestive system
- people with cancer at any stage of treatment
- severe malnutrition, risk of refeeding syndrome and the need for targeted nutritional rehabilitation
- paediatric patients with complex nutritional needs
- enteral nutrition, within our professional scope and on the instruction of the treating doctor
- rare and inherited metabolic disorders requiring a precisely defined nutrition protocol
- bariatric and other major gastrointestinal surgery, short bowel syndrome, severe malabsorption or chronic pancreatic insufficiency
- feeding and eating disorders, dysphagia or serious feeding difficulties, only where an appropriate multidisciplinary team is in place
- high-risk pregnancy or pregnancy alongside a serious chronic condition
The scope of work, number of follow-ups, type of calculations, support and delivery period are defined after the documentation has been reviewed. The client receives a clear quotation before work begins. The final price will not change without prior agreement.
